TREKKERS by Promise Vancouver Navigate the elements and lead your friends to do the same Oct 9 - Dec 21

TREKKERS is a Promise Vancouver program creating opportunities for youth to explore the natural wonders of our region and confidently lead peers in making the most of an outdoor expedition.

As a Trekker, you’ll get to play a key role in planning a hike, outdoor expedition, or camping trip for yourself and your fellow Trekkers. You’ll leave with greater confidence to navigate the outdoors, a deeper knowledge of yourself, a valuable service experience for your resume, and cherished memories with new friends and mentors.

Journey alongside youth as a Trekkers Trail Guide

We can all benefit from having an older, more experienced mentor, both on outdoor expeditions and in life. That’s why we’re recruiting volunteer TREKKERS Trail Guides (age 25+) to play a key role in creating safe, fun, and empowering spaces for youth. Trail Guides will have an experience that is both meaningful and a ton of fun, as they invest in the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts!

We ask for each Trail Guide to commit to the full 10-week cohort, including Trekker Sessions on Thursdays (4-6:30pm), a hike on Nov 15 (9am-3pm), and two weekend trips (Oct 24-26 and Dec 5-7).

Sound like your kind of thing? We’d love to learn more about you!
